I’ve been dealing with Custom Newsletter Concepts for over 19 years now. I started in 1991 when I went looking for a company to help me put together a security newsletter for my company. I found Dan Beard who was then successfully publishing newsletters for several other industries. Dan was just getting into the burglar and fire-alarm industry and he welcomed my phone call. He already had several security newsletters written and he sent me copies to review. They were exactly what I was looking for. The layouts were smart looking and the articles were well written. I was able to put on advertisements and write some of my own articles. Dan offered to put my name and logo on the front with a personal message so it looked like it was my own newsletter. I have to tell you, it was just what I wanted.
I use these newsletters to send to my existing customers and to keep them informed about security and safety issues, to advertise and to just stay in touch. I’ve always felt that it’s a good idea to send customers something other than an invoice and found the newsletters a perfect fit. I also use it for prospecting and as a device to reach that segment of my business. It’s payed off remarkably.

I get comments from my customers all the time telling me that they enjoyed reading a certain article. We have been mailing our clients quarterly newsletters supplied by Custom Newsletter Concepts (Beard Printing) since the spring issue in 1992. We find it a good way to stay in touch with our customer base and keep them apprised of any local developments either with another insert or by customizing the newsletter itself. The new layout that came out this summer is a huge upgrade due to both its full color/glossy paper as well as customizable fourth page. Since we already mail our customers quarterly bills or receipts there is no real additional postage expense so the annual cost per customer is easily justified.
Brenda and Pete Garretson have been super to deal with over the years. I would recommend their newsletter program to anyone looking to improve the quality of their customer contact and retention!

Over six years ago when I came to Crown Services Inc, we were already doing business with Custom Newsletter Concepts. Since that time, we have continued to increase our circulation fo the Crown Chronicle. We have been adding direct mail lists to the project that allows our clients to recieve the newsletter directly on their desk.
